Auckland Voices

Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland | 2021

Auckland Voices was a result of Community Think talking with Aucklanders about their experiences of COVID-19, and as part of the Mobile Library and Access Service project. We ran small table talks and a survey to hear from people the impact COVID-19 was having on their lives and what local services they needed in their communities as a response.

Some of the key themes that were raised were:

  • Increased mental stress and health anxiety

  • Amplified poverty

  • Changing work and study conditions (including technology)

  • Personal transformation

  • Local community connection

  • Increased marginalisation
